In the April issue of Cottage Living magazine, there is an article about "Fresh and local, delivered". It pertains to CSA, Community Supported Agriculture. The short side of the story is this, local communities support local farming. To quote the article, "Imagine buying stock in a company that offers weekly dividends of fresh produce, dairy, eggs, and sometimes meat; short-term benefits. All the food is healthy -no pesticides, hormones or antibiotics - thus improving the investor's daily diet: long-term security." When you know who nurtured the land, who planted the seed, and who harvested the fruit, it is a good thing. Like we say, " Our vegetables are happy and healthy because they do not spend days in a truck traveling to your table! And, you know who planted and harvested the vegetables on your table!" Subscribe to our Market Basket program and each week pick up a basket of fresh seasonal produce, fresh baked foods, fresh herbs, fresh cut flowers, etc. You simply come to the Market on Saturday morning to pick up your basket. For more information, contact us. Your
